Fushimi Inari Taisha is located on the slopes of Inari-san (Mount Inari), about five minutes south of downtown Kyoto on the JR Line. It's one of the oldest Inari shrines in Japan and is dedicated to Inari, the kami of rice. Its most distinguishing feature is its ten thousand red torii, and its many fox statues.
