Tadaima!!!
I'm back from Japan! A few Aria-related updates:
- The third water fairy's name is At(h?)ena. Apparently she sings. Personality-wise she seems to be quite a gloomy and/or anemic person. She's Alice's sempai.
- In addition to Aria, Aqua and Crescent Noise, Amano-sensei did a high school romance series called Roman Club and a series of short stories (I think these feature the Roman Club characters, but I haven't been able to figure them out) during her stint with Enix's G-Fantasy. These were published in tankoubon format under the GanGan Comics (GC) imprint.
- I had the opportunity to speak with a manga editor for Enix's manga line. He said that Mag Garden now owns the rights to republish ALL of Amano-sensei's GanGan Comics works, so there's a good chance that Crescent Noise will be reprinted under the Mag Garden imprint. So far from the GC imprint, the short stories and Aqua have been reprinted by Mag Garden (with new covers!) This explains why there have been 2 sets of covers seen for Aqua.
- Stella is out! Quite pretty. Contains color art up to vol 6 of the Aria manga, and more color art from Roman Club and short stories.
Whew! That's all I have for now. I will scan the covers of Stella and the GC tankoubon at a later date.

Oh that explains why the MangaOne scans don't match up to what Amano has opn her website. Wich is the new print? The ones picted on Amano's website?
(MangaOne Aqua Vol.2 ch1 is out btw)

Hope you had a great trip! So are any of the above available here in english or is that just in japan? i'm dying to get my hands on Stella and Aqua - its seems like forever since i even got vol.3

The MangaOne group are translating Aqua, and I'm mirroring their Aqua releases.
Regarding Alpha and Stella. Seeing how the translators seem reculant to translate much outside of the core manga, it's unlikely that those will be (officially)translated(I hope I'm horribly wrong here tho).

Re: Aqua covers: The covers on Amano-sensei's site are the second (Mag Garden) set. I rather prefer the GanGan set myself. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the first GanGan volume, but I know what it looks like.
Yup, everything I got is in Japanese. (seeing as I was in Japan and all.:) Roman Club is fairly easy to read - thank god for furigana! Stella has a few notes at the end but is mostly pretty artwork.
I'd agree that there is little chance of the artbooks being translated here. ADV recently laid off a large part of their manga division staff and announced that they are slowing down their releases and focusing on their dual-licences (where they have licenced both manga and anime) so I fear it may be a while before we see Aria #4.

Stella and Alpha has very little text in it; just buy them from yesasia.com; I've got my copy of Alpha for a while now and Stella is in the mail. It costs a bit but so worth it.
