I knew it!
I just knew Layla wasn't inherently evil. Vol 4 is too far away.
I must say, though, that Kaleido Star's mascot characters are duds. Jonathan, aside from having a ridiculous name, is so obviously engineered for merchandising that any charm he has seems cynically calculated. And Fool is a one-trick pony - that ecchi side gets real old. (I get the feeling he's just there to prove that tarot cards are bunk.) (But if he is, what about his assertion that Sora is destined for greatness?) (Hm, maybe he's using tea leaves for that prediction.)
ooh ooh, I nominate Ken for the Kaleido Star mascot.
