At this rate there isn't going to be much city left when Kirara's done gathering all seven samurai. Good thing Kikuchiyo's there to clean up the mess.
The official title of Episode 4 is "Go!" but "Exposition!" is the theme. More about the universe emerges (down to the mail delivery system - an homage to
Nausicaa if I ever saw one). This is mainly thanks to the expansion of the sub-plot about the Nobuseri and their connection with the city's warlord (for want of a better term), Maro. Fey Ukyou may be shaping up to be prime antagonist material in other areas, though it's still really hard to take him seriously at this point.
And, as samurai auditions continue, Kyuuzou is found, but in the enemy camp. He and Kanbei get along very well, in that special way that only equally strong samurai on opposing sides can. (Why oh why do I have a horrible sick feeling that the yaoi freaks are going to have a field day with this?)
And I was right about Katsushirou.
And Kirara.
Poor Katsushirou.
